We’ve woken up early on that unexpected bright day with the very cool news from Bettina, that she free of headache and neck pain since sevral days – awsome. Our today’s goal was taking the ferry at Brekstad and going on to the island of Hitra. On our way to Åfjord, we’ve suddenly discovered a very nice spot directly at a small lake.
As the weather was much warmer than expected we’ve decided to have a swim. Finally this swim lasted much longer as expected. We’ve decided to cancel our plans and going back to the beach coffee at Hosen and exploring the two islands of Stokkøya and Linesøya.
After buying some food at a local grocery on our way back to Stokksund, I wanted to stop at Stokksund’s ship wreck yard to watch a while. It’s quite impressive how the huge machines “eats” those old boats like giant Brontosaurus Rex its booties – amazing
After passing the elegant and steep bridge to Stokkøya – which was built that way, cause of the passing “Hurtigruten” Ships – we’ve soon seen the new bridge to Linesøya that connects the two islands since October 2011. On Linesøya we’ve chosen by hazard the road turned right on the first crossing. It led us after several bends to a dead, but very nice ending.
So back at the crossing we’ve choosen the next road, it was the circle road around the island. Half of the way the road became a track and we’ve had even to pay road toll – but it was worth to pay. Some kilometers later we’ve turned into a even smaller track, which seamed to lead us to the cost – Bonanza. It ends up directly on a small bay with a beach. The only bad aspect was, that there was a cabin nearby, but it was abandoned and signed as for sale. So, we’ve also canceled the visit of the beach coffee and decided to stay here for the night.
As the weather still was very sunny and warm, we’ve spend the rest of the day with sun bathing, swimming and diving. It was really an amazing underwater world on that beach with small fishes, star- and shelly fishes, sea urchins and crabs. Bettina fixed a very delicious dinner with gorgonzola pasta and pram salat – mmmmhhh. After doing the dishes we went hiking and exploring abandoned fisherman’s house in the neighborhood and enjoying the very impressive dawn.
