bUGcATiOn.cOm – The summer blog contest

The alarm clock rang on eight a.m. and an interesting section of our trip was awaiting us – the 25 serpentines down to the Lysebotn ferry station. After morning coffee, we’ve had to get new cooling material for our cooler – so we’ve went to a field of snow nearby and filled some PET bottles and plastic bags – nice to see what mother earth offers us for free each day.

We were quite lucky with our timing, so we’ve just queuing for less than 10 minutes untill we were advised for boarding. As we wanted to leave at Songesand we have had to drive onto the ferry as first car. After an wonderful cruise trip on the Lysebotnfjord, the ferry has stopped at Songesand only for us – cool indeed.

After climbing a very narrow road up to the Fjell, we’ve stopped for a swim in a wounderful deep blue Lake – it was such hot, that we’ve hardly wanted to continue the trip afterwards.

We’ve followed the 13 to Hjelmelandsvågen from where the ferry took us to Neavik. By following the Jøsenfjord initially on the 13, we’ve left it by half way and kept following the Fjord’s cost on a secondary road, which led us on the winter ski resort Gullingen. There we turned right to even smaller road witch took us deeper into the hilly landscape of the Fjell. Were we’ve found an other perfect place for camping.
