Mont Pila, Aosta, Italy

An absolutely amazing 2300m climb up to Pila, via cable car, was the highlight of the afternoon to find a restaurant with a pool at the top. We drank water direct from the alps via a fountain an then tasted the local ale!

After the descent we walked round the old town. I didn’t know Aosta was so beautiful! I would recommend everyone to stop rather than just passing through!

Tomorrow we make our ascent of Mont Blanc and the tunnel back to France.
